Bulletin 3-12-2024

Volume 15 | Issue 8

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin! Tonight features Carol Ferguson as our speaker.  See below for Zoom link.

See info and sign-up for our Ride to End Polio on Wednesday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (extended hours) at the premier Milwaukee Athletic Club. Need not be a Rotarian to ride or support.  As a supporter, you will be able to feel the pride when only the second disease ever will be eliminated from the planet, anticipating a 2026 certification of the end of wild polio. (By the way, smallpox was the other disease eradicated.)
Tonight - Carol Ferguson - Polio Eradication and Post-Polio Survivors TODAY
We're honored to host Carol Ferguson, a Polio Survivor, Rotarian, and the Founder of the PA Polio Network, as our guest speaker. Carol will share her inspiring story with us, highlighting the mission and significance of the Polio Survivors Network.

Carol is the Rotary Polio Plus Coordinator  for Rotary District 7430 (Eastern PA)
She is also the Founder of PA Polio Network in 2014  www.polionetwork.org
The organization serves polio survivors all over the US and abroad.  Carol said, "The mission of our Polio Survivors Network is to serve ALL polio survivors, both in the US and abroad by providing information for them, post-polio support groups, survivors’ families, and their caregivers. We draw attention to the importance of being immunized against polio and all crippling childhood diseases.

We are survivors of a vaccine preventable disease who share a passion with Rotarians all over the US and abroad as we support Rotary International’s focus on disease prevention and immunization."

Please join us either in person at the MAC, or virtually via Zoom.
