Education in Milwaukee

Alan Borsuk has been following and writing about the education scene in Milwaukee and beyond for about 20 years. He was an education reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel until 2009. Since then, as senior fellow in law and public policy at Marquette Law School, he continues to write a Sunday column for the Journal Sentinel about education. Ina conversation with Dave Edwards, General Manager of WUWM , Alan will share observations on the departure of MPS Superintendent Gregory Thornton, the future of MPS, accountability for schools of all kinds in Milwaukee, the Common Core controversies, and anything else members want to discuss. He will even attempt to correctly define what a charter school is.
